With the majestic Andes Mountains in the distance, Viña Echeverría is a sustainable, family-run wine estate located in Curico Valley. At the centre of the winery is an 80-year-old cellar with a vintage French grape press and original vats made of native Chilean wood. Viña Echeverría combines a long history of family expertise, European techniques and new world innovation with a love of French varietals. Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, the 2018 Syrah Gran Reserva is vibrant and intense with rich berry aromas and delicious hints of dark, bitter chocolate and black pepper. This velvety wine is rich, round and full-bodied - ideal with steak, barbequed meat, spicy sausage or lamb tagine.
