Hajos-Baja is a wine region situated in the south of Hungary and lies on the eastern side of the Danube River. Very little of their wines are exported and now we know why they would want to keep this gem to themselves. In our humble opinion, the Murdei is the jewel in the crown when it comes to Hungarian wines. It is a wine of unmatched refinement featuring a luscious fruit-driven style with silky tannins that melt into the background. Rich without being robust. Perfect with Asian dishes or serve chilled with desert and blue cheeses.
