The Mosel wine region is Germany’s third-largest in terms of production but many consider it to be the leading region in terms of international prestige. The region is mainly famous for its wines made from the Riesling grape and when tasting this wonderful offering it is easy to see why. The Riesling is a very aromatic grape displaying flowery, almost perfumed, aromas, as well as high acidity and its wines, will range from dry to sweet and sparkling wines. Here it is represented as a Spatlese, meaning it is a wine made from fully ripe grapes or the lightest of the late harvest wines. On the nose, expect to find fresh lemon, melon and honey fruit. On the palate, you discover a well-balanced and elegant wine perfect for many occasions. Enjoy as an aperitif, with fois gras or soft cheeses and of course it will also go well with desserts. Excellent.
